Pro Mach’s Brenton division is seeking a talented Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer to contribute to the success of the company by driving the growth and profitability of the company’s product lines through continuous improvement initiatives in our manufacturing processes.  The position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is located in our Alexandria, MN facility.

Who we are looking for? 

  • This role will have facility wide influence on quality, continuous improvement, and assembly planning strategies. You will need the ability to effectively multi-task and handle a wide variety of projects and activities simultaneously across multiple teams. You will be working in a matrix style structure which means working in teams with others while leveraging team members to achieve objectives. This position will require you to persuade, influence, and challenge team members to operate at a higher level of strategic thinking, while introducing an increased focus on execution.
  • Providing this level of support to the facility and overseeing assembly processes and planning will be the primary function with a focus on delivering increased productivity and quality throughout the build process of our equipment. You will identify opportunities and drive change that will improve execution of strategic business planning processes aligned with our operational capacity.

Type of Background/Skillset?

  • Minimum - Associates degree, preferred Bachelor’s degree (BS/BE/BT) from four year college or university or,
  • Five years related experience and/or training in lean or continuous improvement practices within a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to DFMA practices a strong plus
  • Work closely with both manufacturing and engineering to proactively influence designs for better manufacturability and assembly
  • Identify, develop, and communicate meaningful KPI’s and high-level targets that support efficient assembly practices
  • Analyze assembly parts and steps to determine assembly cost during new design
  • Attend design reviews and recommend changes as required to meet quality objectives
  • Performs required design to fulfill project requirements
  • Provides manufacturing support by answering questions and requests to maintain continuity in SOP’s
  • Interaction as necessary across all departments
  • Identify issues and provide guidance and direction that assists others in creating mitigating actions
  • Ensure timelines and milestones are coordinated and met across manufacturing.
