Position Overview: We are seeking a results-driven Director of Service to lead our residential, commercial, and building automation service operations. This role is responsible for driving performance, profitability, team development, and exceptional customer experience while supporting company growth and maintaining our reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities: The Director of Service will oversee all service operations including technicians, dispatch, planned maintenance, training, KPIs, and customer satisfaction. The position will directly manage the HVAC, Plumbing, and Call Center Supervisors, along with the Planned Maintenance Coordinator. There are 30 additional team members with continued growth expected. The Director of Service will ensure all work is accurately billed, costed, profitable, and delivered on time and within budget. The Director will monitor key performance indicators to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Working closely with Sales, Installation, and other departments, the Director ensures seamless service delivery and strong client relationships. Additional responsibilities include recruiting and developing talent, overseeing financial performance and budget management, and leading ongoing process improvements—while fostering a collaborative, positive team environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Leadership qualities, including a passion for mentoring and training team members
- Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict-resolutions skills
- Ability to systematize workflows, multitask, and handle stressful situations in a professional manner
- Team management experience, managing HVAC or plumbing teams is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with service management software preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
