True North Management is a full-service property management company serving the Alexandria Lakes Area. We manage a variation of rental properties including residential, commercial, and vacation rentals. We handle a variety of real estate related services including but not limited to: Marketing & Leasing, Accounting, Administrative Obligations, Cleaning, and Maintenance.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician for True North, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation and communication within our properties. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, communication, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

Duties:

- Communicate and schedule maintenance with residents and vendors
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify any maintenance needs
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Repair or replace: toilets, tubs, faucets, and related plumbing fixtures
- Demo projects such removing existing flooring and sheetrock

-Flooring installation projects, Painting Projects, Renovation Projects

-Diagnose, repair, or replace appliances
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the supervisor
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping
- Supervise and coordinate contractors when approved

-Track supply receipts and hours on the job/task at hand: Work with the maintenance department to ensure projects remain on budget

- Some weekend availability is required (on-call)

Skills:

-Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and external vendors
- Experience completing the above referenced job duties
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise others when required

Requirements:

-Drivers license and insured vehicle (We provide mileage reimbursement stipends)

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs)

-Basic hand tools for work responsibilities
