Automation Technician Intern

Key Obsessions:

• Assist with Assembly and Testing
  • Help assemble mechanical and electrical components to specs.
  • Check part quality using prints or drawings.
  • Assist in testing equipment to identify basic issues.
  • Record part usage and inventory in internal systems.
• Support the Build Process
  • Log build issues and follow correction steps.
  • Keep tools and work areas clean and safe.
  • Shadow technicians to learn assembly practices.
  • Hel with machine testing and quality checks.
• Exposer to Customer-Facing Work
  • Observe technician interactions with customers.
  • Learn to represent the company professionally.
  • Practice responding to customer inquiries and assisting with basic customer interactions under supervision.
  • Shadow customer interactions to learn how to identify customer needs, preferences, and areas for service improvement.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Currently pursuing a degree in related field
• Basic understanding of tools and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and properly use measuring instruments and small hand tools
• Basic shop math skills as rounding, positive/negative numbers, metric system
• Exposer blueprint reading: hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and use of correct terminology
• Ability to read CAD drawings and operate CAD software
• Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb
