Fabrication Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Key Obsessions:

  • Material Handling and Inventory Management
    • Perform shipping and receiving tasks for raw material, fabricated parts, purchased components, and outside services.
    • Maintain inventory control for raw material, fabricated parts, purchased components, and outside services.
    • Operate forklift, company truck, and other equipment to move and deliver materials and parts. Notify appropriate personnel of maintenance issues.
    • Accurately record data in ERP system to capture part movement and cost.
  • Safety, Training, and Continuous Improvement
    • Follow safe work practices and perform housekeeping tasks.
    • Assist with training other team members.
    • Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture.
    • Recommend and implement best practices to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Communication and Team Collaboration
    • Communicate openly, share knowledge, and build positive collaboration between departments and team members.
    • Support and contribute to department and company metrics.
    • Foster a positive team environment and encourage peer support.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to enhance interdepartmental alignment.

  • Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors, representing Aagard accurately and positively.
  • Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs. Team members may be asked to work before or after their scheduled shift or on non-regular workdays.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred
  • Previous inventory experience helpful
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful
  • Observant with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people
  • Experience with Microsoft products
  • Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
  • Proficient keyboarding skills
  • Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb
