Fabrication Support (Day Shift)

Key Obsessions:   

  • Ensure accurate material movement
    • Transport fabricated parts using parts carts to the next operation in the fabrication process.
    • Accurately record part movement in ERP system to maintain inventory integrity.
    • Verify part quantities and labels before movement to prevent errors in downstream operations.
    • Monitor and communicate any material shortages, delays, or discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
  • Finishing and Cleaning operations
    • Perform deburring, polishing, passivation and straightening processes to meet quality standards.
    • Perform cleaning operations on raw materials to prepare them for fabrication.
    • Inspect finished and cleaned parts to verify they meet visual and dimensional requirements.
    • Maintain finishing and cleaning equipment, reporting wear or issues to ensure consistent performance.
  • Handle raw materials accurately
    • Accurately move raw materials between warehouses using the ERP system.
    • Safety operate forklifts to transport materials and assist with loading and unloading trucks.
    • Verify raw material identification, quantities, and heat numbers to ensure correct usage in fabrication.
    • Store materials in designated locations to maintain organization, traceability, and safe warehouse conditions.

  • Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs. Team members may be asked to work before or after their scheduled shift or on non-regular workdays.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous shipping, receiving, and inventory experience preferred
  • Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful
  • Observant with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
  • Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
  • Proficient keyboarding skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Conscientious of meeting and exceeding internal and external customers needs
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb
  • Valid driver’s license required
