A Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the night shift, performing financial reconciliation, and providing guest services. This role typically combines front desk duties with accounting tasks.
Operational Duties:
- Complete end-of-day activities, including preparing statements for the next day.
- Review and close out all financial transactions and systems.
- Prepare and distribute daily activity and accounting reports for hotel management.
Breakfast Preparation:
- Prepare, set up, and maintain the breakfast area for guests as needed.
- Ensure all breakfast items are fresh, stocked, and presented according to hotel standards.
Laundry and Linen Management:
- Wash, dry, fold, and put away linens and towels as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
- Ensure sufficient stock of fresh linens is available for housekeeping and guest use.
Safety and Security:
- Monitor hotel premises and address any security issues, including securing hotel entrances after hours.
Requirements:
- Experience: Performed Previous experience in a front desk or accounting role, ideally in hospitality. Previous experience in hospitality is preferred but not required.
Skills:
- Basic math skills.
- Proficiency with hotel management software PMS systems or willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic food safety knowledge and ability to prepare simple breakfast items.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be available to work the overnight shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
