Position Overview:  We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant with a passion for accuracy and organization to join our team in Alexandria.  The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a passion for providing exceptional service.  This role focuses on managing our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure seamless financial operations.  If you are looking for a company that values your skills, offers competitive pay and excellent benefits, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing daily accounts payable functions such as:  processing vendor invoices, manage vendor discounts, match invoices, purchase orders and goods receipts, preparing and mailing checks, reconcile vendor statements, enter daily deposits, and obtaining down payments from customers.

The General Accountant will provide light office support and provide accounting support to the controller.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others.
