Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. In this role, you’ll support the provision of speech and language services for students by working closely with our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), classroom teachers, and special education staff. This is an intermediate-level support position involving both direct student service and administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech/language services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Follow treatment plans and protocols as developed by the SLP
Assist in planning speech/language lessons
Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings (without clinical interpretation)
Document student progress, tally data, and prepare charts and records for review by the SLP
Support students in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
Perform clerical duties such as preparing materials and scheduling sessions
Help with departmental operations including scheduling, recordkeeping, and supply maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s or technical degree in Speech, Language, Communication Disorders, or a related field
Field experience or clinical observation hours required
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
