SALARY RANGE: $33.61 – $48.66/hour ($70,178 – 101,602/annual)

RESPONSIBILITIES

This year-round position provides leadership and oversight for student success initiatives, focusing on post-admission processes, retention, engagement, and completion. It supervises student support staff, including success coaches, advisors, tutors, and student life personnel, ensuring effective student services. Responsibilities include managing orientation programs, academic success interventions, and co-curricular events, while also overseeing compliance with ADA, Title IX in Athletics, and Office of Civil Rights regulations. The role is responsible for developing student engagement activities, supporting underrepresented student populations, and coordinating basic needs programs such as the food pantry and mental health resources. Additionally, it ensures data-driven decision-making, faculty collaboration, and early alert systems to maximize student success, while maintaining operational efficiency and strategic alignment with institutional goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three years of professional experience in education supervising or providing lead work direction to student services staff. A Bachelor’s degree in education or similar field can substitute for one year of experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of technical and community college educational environments, retention methods, completion strategies, and student development theory.

  • Possess leadership qualities that demonstrate positive workplace and mentorship abilities, including a strong work ethic, optimism, enthusiasm, and adaptability.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize a CRM, interpret data, and develop accurate and informed conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration or related discipline, or a graduate-level credential relating to educational leadership.

  • Experience with college athletics programs.

  • Experience with student life and co-curricular events, including assessment.

  • Experience working with ADA and students with disabilities.

  • Familiarity with Brightspace and the Integrated Statewide Record System (ISRS)/Workday.
