Cardinal Care is a preschool wraparound care program for 4-year-olds at the Early Education Center, including care on non-school days. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to help provide a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners.
Provide leadership and guidance to children and team members, modeling positive behavior and professionalism.
Foster a warm, caring, and safe classroom environment that supports a sense of belonging for all children and families.
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with program goals.
Offer both group and individualized behavioral support, promoting social-emotional development and addressing challenges proactively.
Support students in developing social skills and apply consistent positive behavior strategies to reduce disruptive behaviors.
Maintain strong communication with families through daily interactions, scheduled meetings, and other channels.
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Serve as the main contact for your classroom, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, incidents, and other essential documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom.
Follow all program policies, safety procedures, and district regulations.
Complete required training and actively seek opportunities for professional growth.
Prior experience working with preschool-aged children is required
Leadership experience preferred
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be at least 18 years old
Post-secondary education is preferred
Pay: $21–$23/hour
Schedule: Full-time (9-month position)
