About the Position: Cardinal Care Program

Cardinal Care is a preschool wraparound care program for 4-year-olds at the Early Education Center, including care on non-school days. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to help provide a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to children and team members, modeling positive behavior and professionalism.

  • Foster a warm, caring, and safe classroom environment that supports a sense of belonging for all children and families.

  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with program goals.

  • Offer both group and individualized behavioral support, promoting social-emotional development and addressing challenges proactively.

  • Support students in developing social skills and apply consistent positive behavior strategies to reduce disruptive behaviors.

  • Maintain strong communication with families through daily interactions, scheduled meetings, and other channels.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment.

  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.

  • Serve as the main contact for your classroom, ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, incidents, and other essential documentation.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom.

  • Follow all program policies, safety procedures, and district regulations.

  • Complete required training and actively seek opportunities for professional growth.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with preschool-aged children is required

  • Leadership experience preferred

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Post-secondary education is preferred


Position Details:

  • Pay: $21–$23/hour

  • Schedule: Full-time (9-month position)
