Job Summary

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing the strategic and operational HR functions within the company. This position contributes to creating a productive and motivated workforce while aligning HR strategies with the company business objectives and organizational culture to drive overall success. The Human Resource Manager will model positive workplace relationships. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR desired.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry preferred but not required.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 40 Hours a Week
  • On-site

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning, collaborating with leadership to develop and align HR strategies with company goals.
  • Integral partner with leadership team in defining company goals and objectives and ensuring connection with performance review process.
  • Talent Management, responsible for recruitment and onboarding process for new team members.
  • Serves in an advisory role, providing guidance on HR related topics and activities. i.e., employee relations, organizational structure, workforce planning, succession planning.
  • Responsible for program design (compensation, benefits, culture, team member engagement, succession planning and learning and development)
  • Leads performance management processes and team member development programs.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective and fair investigations.
  • Lead in driving a culture of feedback, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Leads and administers benefit programs that align with company values and needs.
  • Administer, maintain, and update HR policies and procedures (employee handbook) and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies and benefits.
  • Supports and initiates employee engagement initiatives and helps foster a positive workplace culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of state, local, and federal employment laws.
  • Administer and update the employee handbook and policy manual.
  • Lead performance review process and assist with disciplinary actions.
  • Support employee relations, workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Manage FMLA, ADA, MN leave and workers compensation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data and skill in identifying problems and resolving them.
  • High emotional intelligence and professional discretion.
  • Skill in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, work independently, be a team player.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to think progressively while quickly grasping new ideas.
