POSITION TITLE:  Maintenance and Grounds Worker                            

Accountable to:        On-Site Manager

  1. Perform tasks related to the operation of indoor and outdoor pools, as directed.
  2. Provide for maintenance and usage of boats, motors, and lifts.
  • Inspect boats and lifts prior to their usage in the Spring, and on a daily basis.
  • Assist guests with the use of boats and motors.
  • Keep an inventory of boats, motors, lifts, life jackets, and other items.
  • Make certain that appropriate boat licenses are purchased and displayed.
  1. Respond to emergency calls, upon request.
  2. Provide for routine maintenance and preventative maintenance of units.
  3. Conduct an inventory of all items in the Maintenance area.
  4. Perform tasks related to turf and shrub maintenance, including trimming, watering, raking, debris removal, and weed control.
  5. Perform tasks related to cleaning, including grills, carpets, and windows.
  6. Follow through with maintenance and grounds projects, such as:
  • Maintenance request forms from guests.
  • Checklists submitted by owners during Maintenance Week.
  1. When directed, request bids, specs, and communicate with prospective vendors for maintenance and grounds projects.
  2. Document procedures for the Procedures Manual, as directed.
  3. Communicate with the On-Site Manager on a regular basis, regarding:
  • Progress reports on maintenance and grounds projects
  • Personnel issues
  • Requests for expenditures
  • Changes in work schedules
  • Vacation and ESST requests
  1. Follow and enforce the Rules and Regulations, policies, and directives of the Board of Directors.
  2. Contribute to a positive working environment.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned by the On-Site Manager and the Board of Directors.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  2. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  3. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds daily, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  4. Ability to operate a vehicle, motor boats, lawn mowers, power tools and hand tools.
