Position Objective:

  • Through the practice of servant leadership; enhance people’s lives through installation, retrofit and troubleshooting activities to deliver quality, best value products and services, on time, to internal and external customers.

                                      

Responsibilities: 

  • Help our customers win, representing Aagard for our customers to fully have the Aagard Experience
  • Install packaging equipment, retrofits projects, warranty and service parts at customer sites
  • Provide internal and external technical support for equipment in the field
  • Provide onsite customer training for equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Generate daily service reports from work being performed at customer’s site
  • Recommend service and rebuild projects to customer that improves equipment performance
  • Assist in internal project builds of retrofit projects to Engineering specifications, meeting customer requirements
  • Assist with testing of new machines
  • Assist with programming and code for PC and PLC machine controls
  • Follow safe work practices and perform housekeeping tasks
  • Assist with training other team members
  • Recommend and implement up-to-date manufacturing methods to increase productivity and reduce costs
  • Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments and team members
  • Support and contribute to department and company metrics
  • Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members
  • Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of Associates degree plus two years’ experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Aptitude and interest in machine controls
  • Experience or training with PCs, Servos, PLCs preferred
  • Ability to view and understand CAD drawings
  • Strong customer service skills, conscientious of meeting and exceeding customer needs
  • Ability to read and understand the proper use of measuring instruments
  • Ability to operate small hand tools
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics
  • Ability to follow customer specifications
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical assembly terminology
  • Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to take action and be proactive
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user friendly language
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or climb
  • Must be highly safety conscious
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to take action and be proactive
  • Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift
  • Valid driver’s license required 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Passion for excellence

  • Willingness to take occasional after-hours calls
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.  Travel may occasionally be higher to meet customer expectations
  • A valid Passport is required
