APPOINTMENT: Full-Time, Unlimited

SALARY RANGE: $23.63– $34.18/hour ($49,339 - $71,368)

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position exists to assist Alexandria Technical and Community College in increasing enrollment in career and technical programs and to manage the Perkins V Grant for the Runestone Consortium at both secondary and postsecondary levels. The position is geared toward an overall strategic effort to support the college in all areas related to CTE awareness, engagement, and enrollment. Leadership is essential in facets of collaborative activities with Runestone Consortium partner high schools and other high schools outside the Consortium. This position provides assistance and support to both high school and college students, parents, counselors, CTE faculty, and administration. Additional expectations are to assist with PSEO and other advising, NACEP and concurrent enrollment efforts, and foster curiosity and innovation within academic and student affairs.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of experience providing administrative support duties working with student services; and/or AAS degree in Education, Communications, or similar field substitutes for six months of experience, Bachelor’s degree substitutes for one year of experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external college and community including students, peers, key contacts, and stakeholders.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, decision making, coordinating and communicating sufficient to perform student advising services.
  • Skill in writing grants or managing budgets.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of professional experience working in higher education.
  • Three years of professional experience working in a high school.
  • Working knowledge of systems and structures in secondary and postsecondary institutions.
  • Experience working with Perkins V Grant.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, or similar field.
