Alexandria Public Schools is searching for dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as School Bus Drivers! We offer AM/PM shifts, paid training, and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students every day.

In this rewarding role, you'll be responsible for:

• Ensuring student safety: Transporting students to and from school according to designated routes, following all driving rules and regulations.
• Maintaining a positive environment: Enforcing school discipline policies, providing a safe and orderly learning environment for students on the bus.
• Vehicle care: Performing pre-trip inspections, maintaining cleanliness of the bus, and reporting any mechanical issues.
• Communication and collaboration: Working effectively with school staff, parents, and students.
• Professional development: Attending required meetings and training sessions.

To be successful as a School Bus Driver, you should possess:

• A High School Diploma or GED
• Moderate experience operating a bus (or equivalent education/experience)
• Strong commitment to student safety and well-being
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage student behavior and maintain order
• Excellent driving record
• Working knowledge of first aid procedures
