Night Lead Custodian Needed at Alexandria Area High School!

Alexandria Public Schools is searching for a dedicated Night Lead Custodian to join our team at Alexandria Area High School!

In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students and staff during the evening hours. You'll oversee a team of custodians and tackle a variety of tasks, including:

• Maintaining building systems: Manage heating, ventilation, air conditioning, security, lighting, and alarms to ensure proper functionality.
• Leading cleaning operations: Oversee and participate in cleaning tasks like floor care, carpet vacuuming, and emergency cleanup.
• Performing minor maintenance: Address minor plumbing repairs, replace lights, and assist with repairs as needed.
• Ensuring a safe environment: Monitor building usage for events, provide information to the public, and assist with setting up and taking down activities.

As the Night Lead Custodian, you'll be a strong communicator and team leader, providing direction and support to your custodial staff. You'll also be a problem-solver, able to identify and address maintenance issues that arise during the night shift.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Supervisory experience (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and lead a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to providing excellent service
• Ability to lift and carry moderate weight
