DUTIES

This position provides a variety of public safety services including, but not limited to, follow up on nuisance complaints, animal control, control of recovered/found property, enforcement of various ordinances, and other community service-oriented tasks that ensure effective and prompt delivery of services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have one year of experience in a customer or community service paid or volunteer position
• Must possess valid Class D Driver’s License with a good driving record
• Must have experience with computer programs and data entry
• Must pass a background check with no Felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
• Must pass required Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and FBI data access training upon hire

LOCATION

Alexandria is located in the heart of lake country in West Central Minnesota and serves as the county seat of Douglas County.  The city population is nearly 15,000 within city limits, but the unique layout of over 300 lakes in the county makes the service area closer to 40,000 people.
