Route Driver

Overview

We are looking for an independent and highly motivated individual to join our team as a route driver.  HPS Rental is a growing and fast paced portable restroom rental business that is committed to providing our customers a great experience and superior service.  This individual should possess a positive working attitude and the willingness to learn and adjust to ever changing route schedules. 

Job Description

The Route Driver is responsible for the direct delivery and maintenance of all portable restroom rentals.  This person will have the responsibility of ensuring that all rentals are placed appropriately and serviced accordingly as scheduled.  To be successful in this role it is essential that the individual be dependable and reliable in attendance and have a positive team attitude.

Route drivers are responsible for the completion of a daily route and task list consisting of different duties.  Google Maps and a web-based service, My Customer Connect, are two services that are used daily by the route driver to achieve this.  Consistent and effective communication with the route supervisor, team members, and customers is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain portable restroom rentals on a weekly route schedule
• Complete route schedules daily in an efficient and timely manner
• Follow a web-based system composed of daily tasks
• Communicate with route supervisor and other route drivers effectively
• Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and team members
• Collaborate efforts with other team members to complete duties at our central location – Weekly cleaning tasks, etc
• Represent HPS Rental in a positive light on & off duty
• Work overtime, weekends, and events as needed
• Potential for higher level maintenance duties at the central location such as restroom repairs, fleet maintenance, etc

• Knowledge of Google Maps and web applications
• Knowledge of the surrounding Central MN area preferred but not required

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card and follow all DOT Safety Guidelines
• Must be able to bend over, lift, move heavy objects on a regular basis
• Will work in varying environments including warm and cold temperatures, rain and snow, etc
